Quick Start Guide

Overview of the user interface

How to pick colors from the screen?

1. Click the "Eye Dropper" button.
2. If you want to pick only one color, left click on any part of the screen. If you want to pick multiple colors, try right clicking.
3. From the Eye Dropper menu, point over "Sampling" and click "Sinle Pixel", "3x3" or "5x5" buttons to change the sampling mode.
4. If the area that you want to pick color from is below the Eye Dropper window, use its title bar to drag it around.

How to work with color lists
To add a color to the color list just drag and drop it over it.

To save a color list click the "Save" button and type a filename.

To load a color list click the "Open" button and select a YS Elvan Color List file. You can also drag and drop Color List files over the main program window.

To create a new Color List click the "New" button.

How to use test platforms
There are two test platforms, the Web Preview and the Test Color. The second has more complex layouts including magazine, form and web page layouts. The way to change their colors are both same. Just drag and drop colors. You can drag and drop colors from everything colored; main color, colors of color wheel, harmonious colors, variations, the colors that are listed on the color list and more.

How to copy color values and color swatches
1. Click the "Copy" button. Click the "Preview" button if you want to see a preview.
2. Select the color set that you want to copy.
3. Select the format that you want to copy.
4. Configure options. Copy as WMF when working with vector based applications.
5. Click the "Copy Now" button to copy.
